Mystics from all over the world discover the island of Samothrace, located at the top of the Aegean Sea. The island of Aeolus, God of the Wind. The island of the Goddess Nike. The island of Cabeiri, deities of Fire. An island with wild natural beauty, characterized by the presence of springs and ponds (natural pools).

A fairy-tale place that gushes intense energy. Ideal for those who love Nature and its eudaimonic Gnomes. Samothrace is a source of nurture for the Spirit. A higher level of existence and communication with the Universe and the Self.

Experience Samothrace by staying in an accommodation, located in the heart of the source, among ancient plane trees, crystal healing waters and endless views of the mountains and the sea. In an area of three acres that lies close to that certain point (Therma), from where hiking towards the waterfalls and the tops of the mythical mountain Saos (Feggari), as well as the cruises for exploring the island, begin.

Able to accommodate up to 10 people, Villa «Michalis» in Kato Kariotes, welcomes you to a comfortable space arranged with 3 independent and fully furnished studios- each one featuring a kitchen, bathroom and its own spacious balcony.

For group activities, such as meditation, yoga, workshops, or fitness programs and workouts you can use the vast garden -a flat and broad expanse of lawn that has its own natural resource- that surrounds the villa «Michalis».

Discover Samothrace hidden behind the highest mountain of the Aegean Sea, under the lush vegetation and through purl waters, flowing in canyons, rivers, and streams and rushing to the sea.

Οn the south coast of the island, you will get to see the highest waterfall in Greece (Kremasto Nero), with a height of 180 meters. At Gria Canyon, and Fonias Vathres (natural pools), you will find yourself in a magical landscape that will remind you a Fairy Land… with trees, ferns and oaks around lakes, numerous vathres, and waterfalls.

Food – Drink- Mini Market – Bakery

Karidies: A traditional tavern, where you can taste all the specials of the island. Quite economical and at very nice location. It is also open at noon. A few kilometers after Fonia, you will come across a sign to the right, which will guide you. Dining there will be a … tasting experience!

Vrachos: Traditional tavern where you can enjoy the traditional meat special of the island, the goat. Located at the village of Profitis Ilias, 6-7 km after the port towards the “Pachia Ammos”, Vrachos provides incredible views of fantastic, natural beauty.

Fournelo: Italian restaurant at the port of Kamariotissa. We strongly recommend it!

Meltemi: Perhaps the most beautiful spot in the island’s capital (Chora). A terrace café with endless view, fine music, sweet, coffee and drink.

Haranas: Traditional fish tavern at Kamariotissa port with fresh fish and seafood varieties.

Lefkos Pirgos: A magnificent café-bar in the capital of Samothraki (Chora) under the plane trees, with amazing handmade ice cream and impressive sweets.

Giannis Antoniou: Traditional bakery at the capital of Samothraki (Chora), offering artisan sweets and local specials.

Mini market can be found in the village of Therma, which is in 3 km distance from our village, Karyotes.

Samothraki, like most of the islands of the North Aegean, is green. However, unlike most Greek islands, most of Samothraki’s beaches are not sandy but with pebbles and little stones.

Exception to this, is the beach of Pachia Ammos, in the south of the island, which is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Greece, with breathtaking views, at islands Imbros and Tenedos. Over this beach, stands Panagia Krimniotissa, a magnificent chapel built on the cliff overlooking the sea and the Aegean, Imvros, Tenedos and Lemnos.

A short walk from Pachia Ammos, well hidden and quiet is the wonderful small beach of Karkani.

Vatos is another sandy beach, but access is available only by boat or climbing! It’s safer to get there by boat, rather than by climbing unless you are an experienced climber and follow the right directions. Otherwise it is possible to get lost on the way. However you choose to get there, the experience is guaranteed to be unique.

The ponds of Samothraki are a treasure hidden in the mountain. Dozens of small natural pools filled by the cold waterfalls. Gria Vathra and Fonias are the most popular.

Kipi beach, also on the south side of the island, with deep clear waters, is a wonderful and different beach with black volcanic pebbles. Visitors are taken away by this beach, especially by the view at dawn. Kipi beach is not organized but at the edge of the rock there is a small canteen, with nibbles.

If you are in the mood for some boating, you will get the opportunity to visit several small creeks with caves, turquoise waters, white round pebbles and shells. At these beaches you may find nature lovers, nudists or people who spend all of their vavation days on the island, staying in one of these bays.
